The island of Batz


After a pleasant 15-minute boat trip, you will find yourself on the island of Batz, a small island town that will offer you a complete change of scenery. Located off Roscoff, Breton corsair city in northern Finistère, the island has welcomed tourists while maintaining its identity and preserving its inhabitants. About 500 people live around two main sectors of activity: agriculture and fishing. With its school, college, shops and craftsmen, the island of Batz combines modernity and tradition.

Labeled "Remarkable Garden", the Exotic and Botanical Garden of Roscoff brings together more than 3,000 species of subtropical plants in a space of 16,000 m². We provide secure, covered bike storage, information on local routes and circuits, and a small repair kit for everyday needs. You can also clean your bike after your ride and enjoy a delicious, full breakfast to fuel up before hitting the road again.

How to reach us from the starting point of Eurovelo 1 and 4?

The starting point for the EuroVelo routes is located in front of the Roscoff Tourist Office, on the Quai d'Auxerre. From there, follow the port towards the town center along the Quai d'Auxerre, then continue straight ahead on Rue Gambetta. At the Notre-Dame de Croaz Batz church, turn left onto Rue Albert de Mun. The Hôtel d'Angleterre is a few dozen meters further on, at number 28, on your right.

The route is entirely urban, easily doable by bike in less than 5 minutes (approximately 500 meters) from the starting point.

Le lieu est charmant, l'accueil très sympathique, bon petit-déjeuner, au calme, les chambres sont propres, proche centre ville, bon rapport qualité/prix ... le petit plus : le billard. Nous reviendrons.

Un lieu magnifique. Une litterie au top. Une décoration en cours. Un lieu de vie agréable ou on a envie de s'installer pour boire un bon thé et/ou faire un billard. Et un petit déjeuner très bon avec des croissants et du pain provenant d'une boulangerie. Rare en hôtellerie!

Atmosphère romantique pour cet ancien manoir rénové. Les réceptionnistes absolument charmantes, très bonne literie toute neuve avec un excellent petit déjeuner. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Une bonne adresse en plein centre.

Nous avons adoré cet hôtel, tant par la gentillesse de l'accueil, par l'hôtel en lui même, par son charme et par son emplacement en centre-ville à proximité des restaurants. Ce que nous avons apprécié c'est le mélange d'ancien et de moderne et aussi le superbe parc bien entretenu et mention spéciale à la dame des petits déjeuners qui nous a agréablement servis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Je recommande vraiment cet établissement qui change des chaînes hôtelières impersonnelles.
